inappropriate conversations from work where customers can obviously hear us

me: okay but what if some guy is giving you a compliment, what do you say to that?

coworker 1: whats the compliment?

me: like, “oh thats a really nice behind you’ve got there”

coworker 2: what? thats the compliments you get? fine. well what would you say to that?

me: well i would say like, “oh yea i know, its a good one”.

coworkers: (WTF faces all around)

me: is that..thats not what you say is it.

coworker 1: no you say “thanks” and smile and pretend to blush, its like you didn’t expect for them to notice but they did. like, “oh you surprised me with noticing!”

me: oh god this explains too much.

coworker 2: when are we going to smile at boys at amelies*?

me: obviously not soon enough.

* - the french bakery open 24 hours that has boys we smile at to make them nervous.
